Job Summary
This position oversees day-to-day operations on the production floor. The Floor Lead is responsible for coordinating workflow, supporting team members, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This position acts as a liaison between production employees and supervisors/management, ensuring goals are met while fostering teamwork and accountability.
General Duties and Responsibilities
Support a team of production line workers to meet daily production goals. Assign tasks based on production schedules, monitor progress, and adjust to meet deadlines. Lead by example in following all safety, sanitation, and company policies. Provide on-the-job training to new team members and ensure cross-training across roles. Foster a positive, respectful, and high-performance team environment. Enforce strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP protocols, and food safety regulations. Monitor production areas to ensure cleanliness, proper hygiene, and compliance with allergen control procedures. Monitor line performance to ensure product quality, consistency, and packaging standards are maintained. Support quality assurance checks and work closely with the QA team to resolve issues quickly. Ensure proper documentation is completed accurately and on time. Oversee product changeovers and ensure correct materials, labels, and settings are used. Requirements
Requirements
Proven knowledge or experience in a production or lead production role. Strong knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, allergen control). Ability to work in a cold/hot, humid, or fast-paced food production environment. Competencies/Skills

The Floor Lead supports daily warehouse operations by combining hands-on work with team guidance and coordination. This role is responsible for ensuring work is completed accurately, safely, and on time, while assisting leadership with training, workflow direction, and process improvement. The Floor Lead acts as a resource for team members and helps drive productivity, quality, and efficiency across the operation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Perform all core warehouse functions including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling.
· Provide day-to-day direction to team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
· Serve as the primary point of contact on the floor in the absence of a Supervisor.
· Assist with training and onboarding of new employees, as well as ongoing coaching for current staff.
· Monitor workflow and adjust priorities as needed to meet daily production and shipping goals.
· Ensure adherence to safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality standards.
· Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanners to track inventory and order status.
· Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and proper product handling.
· Identify and communicate operational issues, bottlenecks, or inefficiencies to leadership.
· Assist in implementing process improvements to increase productivity and reduce errors.
· Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
· Check equipment for proper operation and report maintenance needs.
· Assist in resolving minor employee concerns and escalate more complex issues as needed.
Requirements
· High school diploma or GED required.
· At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or production environment.
· Previous experience in a lead or informal leadership role preferred.
· Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory processes, and safety practices.
· Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills required.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
