Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver products to customers, from the distribution center, in a safe and effective manner.
10-15 stops a day, 150-300 miles per day, piece work deliveries on ramp with a hand truck.
Inspect vehicle for mechanical deficiencies and safety issues. Perform preventative maintenance, as required, during operations.
Meet delivery schedules and alert management to any deviations from assigned route or schedule.
State and federal truck driving regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as company policies and procedures.
Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading position both at the facility and at customer locations.
Maintain positive control of all sensitive items (customer facility keys and security codes).
Collect customer payments and secure them for delivery to the company.
Conduct all deliveries while maintaining, to the best of ability, the one-for-one exchange program in regard to pallets and milk crates.

Qualifications
Position Requirements:
High School or equivalent.
Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
Ability to multitask with strict attention to detail.
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
Ability to read, write, and speak the Standard English language.
Current valid Driver’s License.
No recent moving or driving violation.
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather, etc.).
Current valid DOT Medical Card.
A CDL-B designator.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
Two years driving straight body trucks.
Legible penmanship
History of ability to perform tasks with superior attention to detail.
Positive reputation for Customer Service

Typical Work Environment Requirements:
All types of weather and traffic conditions.
Standing, walking, and driving for up to 8-12 hours a day.
Lifting and moving material up to 100 pounds each.
Normal bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below waist and above the head.
Additionally, you may be required to lift, sit, stand, walk, twist, turn, stretch, push, pull, bend, or reach, both below waist and above the head, at any time to fulfill your job description.
Fast-paced self-starter position.

Primary Function
The Branch Operations Manager is responsible for the overall operational performance of a Viking SupplyNet branch, including warehouse, distribution, customer service, inventory management, and in-branch fabrication operations. This role provides leadership for all branch personnel while ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations. The Branch Operations Manager is accountable for achieving operational, financial, quality, and customer service objectives by developing high-performing teams, maintaining compliance, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day operations of the branch, including warehouse, fabrication, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and customer service.
Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to supervisors and team members while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Ensure safe operations by maintaining compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, DOT requirements, and all applicable operating procedures.
Manage branch inventory accuracy, material flow, warehouse organization, and outbound/inbound shipments, including coordination with outside carriers.
Oversee fabrication operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and customer delivery commitments are met.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers by ensuring exceptional service and timely resolution of issues or concerns.
Partner closely with Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Regional Operations leadership to support business objectives and customer requirements.
Analyze operational performance and implement process improvements to increase productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.
Manage branch financial performance, including understanding and monitoring P&L results, budgets, capital expenditures, and operating expenses.
Develop and execute annual and multi-year branch business plans aligned with organizational goals.
Hire, train, develop, coach, and evaluate employees, including conducting performance reviews and supporting career development.
Ensure the branch consistently achieves satisfactory Safety, Quality, and Operational Audit results.
Maintain proficiency with warehouse management, inventory, shipping, fabrication, and business operating systems.
Support branch operations as needed, including operating forklifts, material handling equipment, warehouse equipment, and assisting in shipping, receiving, inventory, fabrication, or customer service activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.
Minimum of 2 years of leadership or management experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, industrial distribution, warehouse, or related operations environment.
Experience managing customer service, warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, and receiving.
Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L performance, and capital planning.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, improve operational performance, and drive employee engagement.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Forklift operation experience or ability to become certified.
Preferred
Manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial distribution experience.
Experience leading fabrication or light manufacturing operations.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or operational excellence principles.
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory management software.
Work Environment
Combination of office, warehouse, and fabrication shop environments.
Regular exposure to manufacturing conditions including noise, dust, heat, moving equipment, and other industrial hazards.
