Direct Care Support Staff Jobs

Our Young Adult Unit is a 18-bed unit that serves adult patients ages 18 to 30 who suffer from one or more psychiatric disorders. Shift: 36 hr evening and nights requirement rotating weekends.

General Summary: Float Mental Health Workers are expected to work varying days based on hospital needs; shifts 7:00 p.m. to 7:30am, biweekly weekends, 36 hrs. a week under close supervision of the Staff Nurse, participate in the planning and evaluation of patient needs based on patient behaviors. Provides direct patient care services in accordance with the treatment plan and under the direction of a professional nurse. Assists in providing a safe and therapeutic environment according to established policies and procedures. Nights 7pm - 7:30am with rotating weekends

The Adult Co-Occurring Disorders Unit is a 22-bed unit offering rapid evaluation with medical and psychiatric intervention. Mental Health Workers are expected to work 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and includes Saturdays and Sundays. The Intellectual Disabilities and Autism Unit, located on Sheppard Pratt Health System's main campus in Towson, MD (Baltimore County), is a 6-bed, specialized, specialized crisis stabilization unit serving adults with severe developmental disabilities and comorbid psychiatric disorders.
