Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: · High school diploma or equivalent preferred. · Additional education or training in the culinary field preferred. · Two or more years’ experience in food service role in preparing food for institutions, such as school, hospital or cafeteria preferred. As a core member of the kitchen staff, the Kitchen Assistant/Dietary Aide will have many important responsibilities including: Assisting in meal preparation and service Setting tables, setting up and serving trays, and pouring beverages Assisting during meal times, as needed, and visiting members in dining areas Cleaning up dining, dietary and day rooms before and after meal services Ensuring safe, responsible use of food preparation and service equipment, plus storage after use Sanitizing work spaces following meal preparation Qualifications In this hands-on position, the Kitchen Assistant will work with LIFE Center staff, as well as with elderly members who may require special assistance.
