Project Support Specialist Field Communications

Our client is seeking a reliable, professional Project Support Specialist to distribute construction notifications and other outreach materials to residential and business customers. This is a heavily field-based position requiring extensive walking and daily driving throughout the assigned service territory.
- Report to the office daily to receive project details, customer letters, route maps, quantities, and the appropriate door hangers.
- Print, fold, assemble, and insert construction update letters into door hangers.
- Drive to residential, business, rural, and suburban locations throughout the assigned service territory.
- Walk approximately 7–10 miles per day while completing assigned routes.
- Deliver approximately 600–700 door hangers per day across multiple municipalities.
- Place materials on a property’s front door or fence. Materials must never be placed inside a mailbox.
- Enter businesses and hand-deliver communications to the owner or manager.
- Collect and document business-owner names and contact information.
- Report customer concerns, construction-related observations, closed businesses, and vacant properties.
- Complete and submit an end-of-day checklist with street-level details and key findings.
- Take and submit photographs of materials and route maps to verify accuracy.
- Use geotagged photographs and a mobile application to confirm route locations.
- Prepare materials in the office when deliveries cannot be completed due to rain or snow.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid New Jersey driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle.
- Satisfactory motor vehicle record; an MVR check is required.
- Ability to drive daily throughout the assigned service territory.
- Ability to walk long distances and work outdoors in varying seasonal conditions.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong time-management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Professional, friendly, and respectful when interacting with customers and business owners.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Personal mobile phone for field communication, photographs, and location verification.
- Closed-toe shoes, reflective safety vest, and identification badge are required. The candidate or supplier is responsible for purchasing the safety vest.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- 32–40 hours per week
- Must be available for an 8:00 a.m. call to review the day’s schedule and assignments
