The Assistant Application Database Analyst will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, implementation and support of all databases used for the Global Field Financials project. This position will play a key role in the design and development of database capabilities necessary for the evolution of the application and all associated interfaces, including requirements gathering for implementation of new capabilities. The analyst will also be responsible for developing and supporting our enterprise ETL processes. Support efforts will include converting data and integrating with other Aramark and third-party applications in each target country. Responsibilities:
The Global Field Financials team develops, deploys and maintains the standard Field Financial System that is used throughout Aramark’s global operations. This person will report to the IT Manager and will principally support the GFF Solution Development team while advancing key business objectives of the Global Field Financials team. This individual will be directly responsible for developing or supporting the entire project team’s application database needs and the review of specifications and functional requirements gathered from the business teams. This person will interact regularly with members of the field-based and tower-based user community, a broader internal and remote-based development team, and have regular interactions with members of the LOB and in-country management and deployment teams. Coordination across all teams is required to ensure that system requirements are understood and implemented as planned. Excellent database technical skills such as design, development, performance tuning, are essential to succeed in this role.

Based in our Alexandria, Virginia office, this role features a hybrid work schedule. Remote work is optional on Mondays and Fridays, while in-office attendance is mandatory on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Typical Hours for this position will be 9 AM - 6 PM Eastern.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary trader on the ICE terminal, buying and selling power contracts in accordance with approved risk limits and strategic frameworks.
- Monitor market trends and power grid fundamentals to provide actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain custom SQL queries for robust data analysis.
- Design and implement quantitative modeling frameworks to enhance decision-making.
- Collaborate with other members of the exchange trading team to investigate possible improvements to existing strategies, optimize trading processes, and explore and develop new strategies.
- Collaborate with our software engineering team to create production-grade systems to support our trading efforts.
- Maintain clear, effective verbal and written communication across teams.
Skills and Qualifications
- Analytical problem solver with proficiency in Excel.
- Proficiency in R and SQL.
- Working knowledge of statistical modeling methods (e.g., Linear Regression, Tree-Based Models).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Grafana, Tableau, PowerBI) is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated comfort with numerical analysis and high-stakes risk/reward decision-making.
- A collaborative team player with a resilient, competitive, and curious mindset.
