· The Design Systems Engineer is responsible for coordinating the technical aspects of base engine design to achieve customer requirements, functional objectives, and quality targets. Scope of work includes base engine design and testing.

· Support onsite dynamometer triage, test cell setup, and dyno support to quickly and effectively troubleshoot and root cause test cell and engine issues.
· Support onsite part failure resolution, root cause analysis, and task force leadership for issues observed in dyno cells, teardowns, builds, etc.
· Track validation status for engine phases and escalate any concerns with timing.

Requirements:
· Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related degree field.
· Minimum five years of propulsion system related engineering and/or calibration experience.
· Understanding of phased gated launch processes for product development.
· Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to and prepare presentations for executive leadership.
· Strong cross functional team management skills along with superior written and oral skills.

The Service, Parts & Customer Care Organization is currently seeking a highly skilled, solutions-oriented Global Service Commodity Manager - Diesel / Transmission / Driveline to join the Technical Assistance team in Auburn Hills. The Global Service Commodity Manager - Diesel / Transmission / Driveline will be responsible for managing a highly talented technical support team and executing deliverables aligned to field issue resolution initiatives.
The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the resolution of product related field issues and ensuring the success of field action repairs. The role will require strong leadership characteristics and technical proficiency in order to achieve cross functional buy in on repair direction and ensure repair effectiveness.
The individual will be responsible for the following:
Champion for the resolution of product issues identified though Field Reporting, & various call center data trends.
Daily interaction with Product Development, Customer Experience, and Technical Safety and Regulatory Compliance (TSRC) at varying levels of management to ensure successful field resolution of product issues.
Primary internal global escalation point to ensure the timely release of pending field actions.
Primary liaison to direct Product Development and Customer Experience for appropriate repair methods and communication strategy.
Maintain awareness of all field issues impacting the respective commodity areas.
Maintain expertise in past, present, and future vehicle diesel, transmission, and driveline systems and repair processes.
Investigate, propose, and implement solutions for issues relating to Fixed First Visit.
Project manage and lead initiatives to improve Fixed First Visit, Customer Service Index (CSI), and other service related projects.

JAVA SPRING BOOT ARCHITECT
12 MONTH+ CONTRACT
3 DAYS A WEEK ONSITE IN AUBURN HILLS, MI
HOURLY RATE: $70/hr. W2 / C2C IS OK
ALTA IT Services is seeking a hands-on Technical Architect with solid Java and Spring Boot to lead the evolution of a high-scale, distributed microservices platform. This role is ideal for a highly skilled technologist with deep expertise in Spring Boot microservices, cloud architecture, and secure, scalable API ecosystems. This is a 6-month+ contract-to-hire assignment, with potential for extension. Hybrid 3 days a week, onsite at an automotive customer in Auburn Hills, MI.
What you’ll be architecting: Scalable microservices ecosystem using Java and Spring Boot
Secure API architectures with advanced authentication patterns
Event-driven systems leveraging MQTT, Kafka, RabbitMQ
Cloud-native solutions on AWS with Docker and Kubernetes
Observability platforms using Kibana, Grafana, and CloudWatch
REQUIRED SKILLS 15+ years of enterprise backend development experience
5-7 years of proven architecture leadership experience
Deep expertise in Java, Spring ecosystem and cloud architecture
Crystal clear communication skills to inspire teams and stakeholders
HOURLY RATE: $70/hr. W2. C2C is OK
