POSITION SUMMARY:
The Department of Kinesiology & Health Science (KHS) at Alma College invites applications for an Instructor/Lecturer of Exercise Physiology. The department seeks applicants to complement existing departmental strengths. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to quality undergraduate education. Teaching responsibilities will include classroom or laboratory teaching in courses such as exercise physiology, exercise testing & prescription, ECG interpretation, stress testing, and other coursework assigned according to candidate interest/expertise and department need. Opportunities exist to actively participate in ongoing research, advising, and/or service.
A master's degree in Exercise Physiology, Clinical Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related discipline is required prior to appointment date. A Ph.D. is preferred. Candidates who are ABD with teaching experience may also be considered. Prior experience in cardiac rehabilitation or related clinical environment is also preferred.

• Experience in hospitality, hotel, or vacation rental cleaning.
• Background in laundry management and/or linen services.
• Experience working with underrepresented, first-generation, Pell-eligible, and diverse populations.
SCHEDULING:
• Shifts generally 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
• Guaranteed Monday shift (5 hrs.); additional shifts could include Fridays and alternating weekends (dependent on guest occupancy)
• Peak seasons may require extra hours, with advance notice
• Weekly hours typically 5-25
