Mercury Marine is looking for a Associate Copywriter to join our Creative Services team. You'll create conceptual creative and execute tactical marketing copy that brings our brands' stories to life, resonates with boaters and anglers, and stands out in the marine marketplace. You'll collaborate with a talented crew of designers, copywriters, project managers, brand partners and channel partners to encourage consumers to get on the water with Mercury Marine.

• *Essential Functions:**
+ Critically think through project briefs and customer journey to create engaging and appropriate messaging that fulfills our brands' objectives
+ Collaborate on developing campaign concepts that stand out to consumers and fulfill our brands' objectives and tell their stories
+ Develop on-brand, on-voice copy that engages boating, fishing, and water sports enthusiasts across digital and print channels (print ads, digital ads, web copy, catalogs, brochures, point-of-purchase displays, tradeshow displays and more)
+ Collaborate with designers to build creative, cohesive campaigns
+ Review creative proofs for spelling, grammar, and overall quality according to our in-house style guides
+ Build your knowledge of our audiences (boaters, anglers, watersports enthusiasts), their interests, and the marine industry to develop targeted creative that resonates with these audiences
• *Diversity** **of** **thought and experience** **s** **is** **fundamental when** **imagin** **ing** **the unimaginable** **.** **Certain skillsets/experiences** **are necessary;** **however,** **others can be developed** **along the way** **.**
• *Required Qualifications:** **??**
+ 1+ years of experience in an advertising/marketing agency or in-house marketing department
+ Bachelor's degree in related field preferred but may be waived for candidates with relevant experience and exceptional portfolio
+ Experience in collaboratively developing creative campaign concepts
+ Experience producing copy across marketing channels
+ Demonstrated ability to adhere consistently to a brand's voice and move fluidly between multiple brand voices
+ Strong time management to meet tight deadlines while working on simultaneous projects
+ Experience editing and proofreading according to multiple style guides with acute attention to detail
+ Basic understanding of SEO keyword usage
+ Portfolio that demonstrates creative marketing copy across channels for multiple clients
• *Working Conditions:**
+ Hybrid, 3 times in office
The anticipated pay range for this position is $62,800-90,500 _,_ annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for annual discretionary bonus.
Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.
