Production Coordinator/Talent Buyer (Creative Design)
The Live Music Production Manager & Talent Buyer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of live music events at the Martini Tree, located in Taos Ski Valley. This seasonal role involves coordinating and executing live music performances while also curating a diverse lineup of talent. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in live event production, talent booking, and a deep passion for music.
This position requires an enthusiastic, high-energy individual who likes both the details involved in planning an event and the interpersonal skills required to execute the event. The job entails research, development, planning, executing, and clean‑up of resort special events.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless event logistics, including sound, lighting, stage setup, and audience safety.
• Coordinate load‑in, sound checks, and load‑out for each performance.
• Ensure all technical requirements are met and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise.
• Ensure timely and fair compensation for artists, adhering to industry standards and maintaining financial transparency.
• Maintain a focus on creating a positive and memorable experience for guests attending live music events.
• Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs when needed.
• Manage back‑line and secure equipment.
• Negotiate contracts and booking terms with artists and their representatives.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute live music events at the Martini Tree Venue.
• Provide clear instructions and guidance to staff to ensure smooth event execution.
• Provide feedback on future equipment needs.
• Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays.
• Research and identify a variety of musical acts suitable for the venue's audience and atmosphere.

Qualifications / Knowledge:

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Music Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with industry contracts, negotiation practices, and artist relations.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Knowledge of audiovisual equipment, stage setup, and technical production.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Previous event experience and/or on‑mountain experiences an asset.
• Proficiency in using event management software and tools.
• Proven experience in live event production, including talent buying and booking.

Work Environment:
Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment. TSVI is located in a high altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions.
