Introduction
In this procurement consulting role, the Procurement Professional will support the development, execution, and ongoing management of category/sourcing strategies for IBM’s Procurement BPO clients. Above and beyond strategic sourcing activities, the Procurement Professional should learn the internal landscape of our client (requirements, organizational structure, priorities) and develop relationships to successfully deliver improved cost, reduced risk, and more efficient programs.
Your role and responsibilities
- Supporting and managing competitive bid events for client(s) (i.e., Request for Proposal, Request for Quote, Request for Information, Reverse Auctions, etc.) within assigned spend categories
- Managing tactical buying request queue with requests ranging from $50k-$500k from multiple client stakeholders, achieving savings targets and maintaining high client satisfaction
- Analyzing client’s historical spend data in one or more categories to: support category strategy development, measure compliance with supplier agreements, and identify sourcing opportunities
- Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships across all levels of the client’s business, procurement, and legal organizations
- Understanding commercial terms and facilitating contracting processes with the client’s suppliers
- Analyzing and documenting cost savings versus historical spend to ensure IBM meets or exceeds contractual savings commitments to our client(s)
- Supporting Global Category Leaders, Category Managers, and Sourcing Managers with development of category strategies and developing sourcing project strategies
- Collaborating with BPO Procurement Consultants supporting our other clients to share and leverage useful templates, strategies, lessons learned, and case studies
Required technical and professional expertise
- Understanding of procurement concepts and terminology
- Candidates must be willing and able to travel to client locations based on business requirements
- This Hybrid position requires the candidate to work a minimum of 3-days per week in an IBM or client office. The approved IBM location for this role is Toronto

Job Description
- The purpose of this job is to provide all aspects of IBM MQ administration and Production support to Application teams
- This position will also handle escalated incidents and perform root cause analysis of any problems that may arise out of Incident Report (IR) and/or proactive needs for business.
Responsibilities:
- The main responsibilities include configuration, implementation and support of IBM MQ.
- Understand business requirements and design solutions accordingly.
- Ensure quality standards in release.
- Take care of incidents, escalated to Client or third parties as necessary.
- Perform root cause analysis for Priority (P1/P2/P3/P4) incidents and/or proactively based on business needs.
- Work with the right teams within Client or third parties for the implementation of change.
- Follow the required policies and procedures for the incident, problem and change management.
- Ensure service performance expectations are met with service levels and quality.
- Raise/escalate any service-related issues and risks to Client Track lead and/or client.
- Knowledgeable about MQ Architecture.
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux Operating system.
- Hands-on experience with MQ installation, configuration and Disaster Recovery (DR) procedures.
- Has worked on multiple MQ Fixpacks/Patching.
- Has worked on a MQ Migration.
- Thoroughly understand the following MQ topics,

Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate or postgraduate in Technology with Computers or Information Technology (IT) stream.

- Ability to act as a vendor or developer liaison, including L3 Support that involves interacting with product developers or vendors to address issues beyond the organization's scope.
- Collaboration with lower support tiers, including L1 and L2 Support, and providing guidance and expertise to facilitate issue resolution.
