SR Backend Developer- ex Albertsons

Pleasanton, CA or Plano, TX -Hybrid (3 days in office)

12+Month Contract

Client is seeking a Sr. Backend Developer with expertise in Java, microservices, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies. Must have experience building scalable applications and a background in the retail industry. Familiarity with middleware tools and frontend technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend systems using Java and Spring Boot

Build microservices for cloud environments (Azure, PCF)

Design scalable applications for high-volume usage

Work closely with cross-functional teams across the development lifecycle

Integrate middleware solutions using MQ and Kafka

Optional involvement in UI tasks using Angular

Requirements

Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices

Hands-on with Azure and PCF cloud platforms

Proven experience with scalable, high-performance applications

Retail experience (e.g., Macy s, Walmart, Sephora, Kohls, William Sonoma)

Proficient with middleware technologies: MQ, Kafka

UI/Angular knowledge is a plus
