Role:
As our Territory Sales Development Manager , you will be responsible for driving aggressive sales growth, expanding market share and managing all sales channels within your designated territory. You will drive the strategy for customer acquisition, distribution and product availability while managing a high-performing team to deliver on revenue targets.
Responsibilities:
Revenue Growth
Lead the development and implementation of strategic sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual Volume, Revenue, and Distribution targets for the territory.
Direct the recruitment, management, and performance of Key Distributors, wholesalers, and retailers to build a robust and resilient distribution network.
Oversee the preparation and presentation of Sales Forecasts and Sales Performance reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually) to the Head of Sales, identifying risks and opportunities.
Ensure strict adherence to pricing strategies and credit policies; manage the reconciliation of customer accounts and ensure timely payment collections.
Conduct regular performance reviews with distribution partners to ensure continuous alignment with business goals and address performance gaps proactively.
Market Intelligence & Brand Operations
Lead the analysis of market dynamics, trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within the territory.
Own the responsibility for ensuring full availability and premium visibility of Babylove products across all retail touchpoints in the assigned territory. Promote sales of Babylove brands to Distributors, Wholesalers and Retailers.
Establish and nurture robust relationships with trade partners to ensure the seamless implementation of trading agreements and programs.
Identify and recommend high-ROI strategic activations; collaborate with trade marketing teams and partners to execute visibility campaigns and increase market share.
Proactively monitor competitor activities and lead the team in suggesting and implementing appropriate counter-measures.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
Directly manage, mentor, and develop the territory sales team (both direct and indirect lines), ensuring a motivated and high-performing workforce.
Constantly provide on-the-job coaching to the sales team to enhance their negotiation, selling, and analytical skills. Support the development of capability regarding channel strategy and execution criteria.
Support the Sales Representatives regarding delivery, implementation, and measurement of performance against business plans through regular trade visits and customer interactions.
INTERNAL RELATIONS:
Maintains contact with all key internal team members to ensure seamless business operations.
EXTERNAL RELATIONS:
Maintains contacts with the company’s corporate organizations and statutory bodies as required to protect the company's commercial interests.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR ASSETS:
Accountable for the protection, conservation and efficient utilization of company assets including Vehicles, Mobile Phones, Laptops and Cash assigned to the territory.
COMPETENCIES:
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Degree in Business Management, Marketing or relevant professional qualification.
Professional certificate from a professional body such as CIM is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a related commercial position, with at least 3 years of on-field work experience in the FMCG industry. Must have proven experience in a management or supervisory role.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Must be willing to work in outstation areas and on weekends as required by the business.
