About Torus Torus is headquartered in Utah and is expanding manufacturing at our 545,000-square-foot facility in Salt Lake City called GigaOne. We are the world’s first mesh energy infrastructure, uniting communities through resilient, sustainable, and intelligent power. We design, engineer, manufacture, install, and support our systems end-to-end, standing behind them throughout their lifecycle. Torus systems help reduce costs, lower emissions, and protect facilities from outages, while strengthening the security and reliability of the broader utility grid. Torus is committed to American manufacturing, engineering excellence, and building energy systems that last.
Torus has raised over $267 million from investors like Magnetar, Mercado, ICONIQ and Origin Ventures. The investments are helping to accelerate deployment of modular power plants across utilities, data centers, and industrial sectors. This investor confidence reflects the strength of our team, technology as well as the scale of the problem we are solving.
At Torus, you will be part of something larger than a single product or technology. Your work will help build energy infrastructure that supports and strengthens our electrical grid, critical systems, industry, and communities for decades to come. We value accountability, collaboration, and clear thinking. We are looking for people who want to solve hard problems and build things that matter.
role
About the Role We are launching a brand-new swing shift in September 2026, and we need a visionary, powerhouse leader to help build it from the ground up. As our Fabrication Production Supervisor, you will be working closely with our Fabrication manager to design its culture, structure, and operational workflow.
This is a hands-on, floor-present leadership role reporting directly to the Fabrication Manufacturing Production Manager. The permanent hours for this role are Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. However, to ensure you are fully aligned with our culture, processes, and equipment, you will initially train on the day shift (Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) before transitioning to lead the evening team.
You will be fully responsible for pioneering our swing shift operations to support Torus’s Flywheel Energy Storage Systems (FESS) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role requires a technically astute leader with deep roots in a metal manufacturing environment, elite organizational skills to handle the logistics of a new shift launch, and the practical working knowledge required to troubleshoot advanced machinery, guide operators, and ensure maximum precision and throughput.

You possess exceptional organizational and scheduling skills to manage personnel, material flow, and handoffs between shifts seamlessly. A Master of the Craft: You aren't just familiar with fabrication; you have deep, practical roots in high-precision metal fabrication, laser cutting, and forming environments. You know the capabilities and nuances of advanced CNC machinery. Hands-on & Floor-Present: You lead from the production floor, not from behind a desk. You are ready to stand side-by-side with your team to solve technical issues and keep the line moving. Safety-First Leader: You believe a safe workplace is a productive workplace and rigidly uphold safety protocols on the floor. A Coach & Mentor: You take pride in onboarding, cross-training personnel, and elevating the technical skills of your team. Responsibilities
