Main Duties: PURPLE is actively seeking a bright and enthusiastic Senior Account Manager to join its Lifestyle practice in the agency’s Miami office, working on several high-profile global Lifestyle clients. The ideal candidate will have experience working in PR, focusing on hospitality and arts/culture industries, with a strong understanding of the US media landscape.
The candidate should demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving media, influencer/VIP and event strategies. Moreover, the candidate should demonstrate a high degree of written communication skills, initiative, creativity and be extremely organized.
· Leading on preparing strategies for clients including: developing outreach plans, partnerships, message development, management of events, coordination of media familiarization trips, effective pitching, training of spokespersons and pitching local, regional, and national stories
· Networking across relevant beats; maintaining strong relationships with media and industry contacts through regular one-to-one appointments and meetings
· Competitive media research and analysis
· Securing partnership and collaboration opportunities
· Spearheading and supporting with event logistics and production
· Developing weekly and monthly media reports for clients
· Supporting senior team on communication with all clients, building rapport and credibility based on trust and expert counsel
· Overseeing the management of all product-related media requests – from email inquiry through prospective media coverage – through sample product distribution and tracking and follow up
· Consistently producing high quality internal and external communications content
· Oversight of weekly client agendas
· Proactively pitch story ideas to achieve maximum editorial placement across your brands
· Manage and motivate junior members of the team to ensure day-to-day operations run Managing the Junior team members to help reach personal and team targets
· smoothly and PR results are delivered, while supporting them in their growth to the next level
· Equally supporting senior members of the team to ensure maximum support across all levels
· Have a clear understanding of paid, owned and earned media strategies, and develop relationships with top influencers to support this activity

· Contribute to agency new business efforts; both creating proposals and participating in relevant pitches
· Minimum of four years of relevant working experience
· Hospitality and arts/culture experience is preferred
· Superior knowledge of luxury consumer industry
· Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
· Excellent written and verbal skill
· Knowledge of Cision, MuckRack and other PR industry tools

PURPLE has a unique opportunity for a senior level publicist to join our global PR agency’s NY office leading luxury travel/hospitality accounts.
As a senior lead for the travel/hospitality team, this individual must have a proven track record of developing and executing strategic, integrated media/event/influencer campaigns and successfully managing and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will have agency experience with luxury hotels, hotel openings and food & beverage outlets. Strong media contacts and relationships with top-tier consumer press and trade press are a must.
The Account Director will work closely with Senior Members of the Lifestyle team based in NY. You will be the lead on accounts and projects, serving as a trusted strategist and expert voice for clients. This individual will serve as a mentor, manager, and lead example for all account teams on client management, results, staff development and strategic guidance. The candidate will also be heavily involved in new business.
Proactively builds and implements strategy for clients Evaluate and understand client business objectives and crafts strategies that reflects those business objectives. Lead client programs and campaigns from planning to execution within the specified budget including new hotel launches Event conception and management Pull and collaborate with different divisions across the agency and office to ensure the client is getting access to the agency's network-wide expertise Manage client benchmarks and deliver strong media coverage through leadership and guidance Consistently produce high quality internal and external communications content Manage and motivate other members of the team to ensure day to day operations run smoothly and PR results are delivered, while supporting them in their growth to the next level. 6+ years of travel/hospitality public relations experience at a PR agency A track record of success opening new hospitality venues (hotels/restaurants) and generating consistent ongoing media coverage Familiarity with the luxury market and clientele Ability to be very nimble and work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment Integrated communications campaign conception beyond traditional media Articulates ideas succinctly and is comfortable with public speaking and presentations Superior high-level media contacts across broadcast, print and online media A “proactive” attitude and team mentality and experience leading a team · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Exceptional problem-resolution skills, including the ability to think creatively and outside the box
