We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR :
Ensure access control policies and procedures are followed and client property is secured
Monitor CCTV cameras
Maintain positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients
Complete site reporting requirements, daily logs and written reports
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and deportment
Maintain effective communication
Respond to alarms and calls for assistance
Provide assistance to employees, clients and visitors
Regular interior and exterior foot patrols
Enforce the Trespass to Property Act when required.
Complete patrol and incident reports utilizing reporting software, and paper reports as required.
Sign visitors in and out along with ID checks
Report concerns or complaints received to Supervisor or Manager
Perform 'stand downs' at client locations to ensure continuity of guard service, as requested by supervisor or manager.
Be available to adjust schedule as required to accommodate the needs of the team.
Undertake all training assigned to you in a timely fashion.
Maintain professionalism at all times, during all interactions.
Liaise with Police, Fire, EMS as appropriate during incidents.
Operate company patrol vehicle in accordance with company policy and HTA regulations.
Other duties as may be required by the client or site supervisor

* MUST * Have the ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance (resident in Canada 10 years or longer, clean record, clean credit history)

POSITION SUMMARY
Job type: Security/Mobile Patrol
Reports to : Site Supervisor/Regional Manager
Anticipated start date : ASAP
Posting Close Date : Until filled
Hourly Rate of Pay : $20.95/hr (Unionized)
Hours of work : 2000-0800 (12 Hours, Paid Meal Breaks)
Shifts : Continental Shift (7 shifts in a 2 week rotation
Location : 2947 Portland Dr, Oakville, Ontario

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct property patrols of client locations, in accordance with site instructions.
Respond to and investigate alarm calls when dispatched.
Conduct Private Property Parking Enforcement at client locations, in accordance with City by-laws and site procedures.
Conduct ATM escort duties as required.
Operate company patrol vehicle in accordance with company policy and HTA regulations.
Enforce the Trespass to Property Act when required.
Liaise with Police, Fire, EMS as appropriate during incidents.

Maintain professionalism at all times, during all interactions.
Be responsible for the care and upkeep of company vehicle and all assigned equipment during your shift.
Undertake all training assigned to you in a timely fashion.

Be available to adjust schedule as required to accommodate the needs of the patrol team.
Perform 'stand downs' at client locations to ensure continuity of guard service, as requested by supervisor or manager.
Perform other duties as requested by Supervisor or Manager
Required Education, Qualifications and Experience:
*Mandatory* - Must hold a Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
*Mandatory* – Valid WSIB accredited First Aid and CPR certificate
*Mandatory* - Use of Force certification.
*Mandatory* – Must have undertaken Escalation and conflict resolution training.
*Mandatory* – Full G class license and Clean Drivers Abstract
*Mandatory* – Be able to obtain a Level II (Secret) Security Clearance- minimum 10 Years of Residency in Canada
Must be able to complete CGL’s Use of Force Level II Class
Good Computer skills especially with MS Office suite and at least Security management software.
Minimum 2 years of Mobile security guarding experience
Will be required to drive a company vehicle for the entire shift and conduct site checks and calls for assistance
CERTIFICATIONS :
Preferred – A diploma in Police Foundations
Preferred – Post Secondary Certificate
Prior Use of Force experience
Must have undertaken Escalation and conflict resolution training.
Must hold a valid security guard license.
Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
