Astrana Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our growing outpatient clinic in Anaheim, CA with Gateway Medical Center. Gateway Medical Center is a multi-specialty medical practice that has served the Anaheim area since 1984. We provide comprehensive primary medical care to our patients out of our three clinic locations found in Anaheim, Anaheim Hills and Santa Ana California.
Spanish-speaking physicians and those with geriatric experience are strongly preferred.

Provide and manage comprehensive primary care services, including: Physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, counseling, and treatment Preventive care visits, wellness exams, and age-appropriate screenings Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, heart disease, and other common adult medical conditions Prescribe medications and treatment regimens in accordance with clinical guidelines and best practices Develop individualized, evidence-based care plans in collaboration with patients and families Maintain a continuity panel of patients with appropriate follow-up and long-term care planning Collect, review, and maintain complete and accurate patient medical records in the EHR Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging Coordinate care with specialists, behavioral health providers, and ancillary services Direct and collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including HCC, 5-Star, and other incentive-based programs Advocate for patients within the healthcare system to support cost-effective, coordinated care Recommend workflow and operational improvements to enhance clinical efficiency, documentation, and patient experience Uphold the highest standards of medical ethics, professionalism, and patient confidentiality Other duties as assigned.
MD or DO from an accredited medical school Able to provide care in Spanish Completion of an accredited Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency program Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Active, unrestricted California Medical License Active DEA registration Current BLS and ACLS certifications At least 1 year of outpatient primary care experience
(New graduates will be considered upon completion of residency) You're great for this role if you have: Spanish-speaking ability (medical Spanish strongly preferred) Geriatric care experience Experience in value-based care, community health, or managed care environments Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment skills Passion for serving diverse and underserved populations
This is a full-time position. Your schedule would be comprised of 5 8-hour shifts between M-F 8 A - 5 P. Consideration can be made for part-time employment. This position is located onsite at 710 N Euclid Street Anaheim CA 92801. Our national target pay range for this role is $255K - $295K per year. Sign-on and retention bonus may be part of the compensation package. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location (current or future), experience, and other job-related factors. We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Billing Clerk to support the revenue cycle and financial operations of the Advanced Diagnostic & Surgical Center. In this role, you will be responsible for billing, coding support, payment processing, account follow-up, and reporting to help ensure accurate and timely reimbursement while maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Perform daily billing, including primary, secondary, workers’ compensation, and self-pay claims Maintain CMS crossover processes and ensure accurate claim submission Apply appropriate ICD-9 and CPT/ASC coding for billed services Prepare patient accounts for billing and follow up to obtain missing or required information Post payments, adjustments, and denials accurately on a daily basis Review EOBs and initiate timely follow-up on unpaid or denied claims Contact patients regarding co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances; issue monthly statements Prepare and reconcile daily deposits; maintain copies of checks, EOBs, and transaction records Run daily transaction reports and support month-end close and reporting activities Respond to patient and payer inquiries in a professional and timely manner Maintain organized filing of billing records, EOBs, and related documentation Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by manager
High school diploma or equivalent At least 2 years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting Knowledge of ICD-9, CPT coding, and medical terminology Working knowledge of computers and billing systems Strong attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills Ability to communicate professionally with patients, payers, and internal stakeholders Preferred: Experience in an ASC, diagnostic, or outpatient environment Familiarity with EHR and practice management systems Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and commercial payer requirements Bilingual Mandarin and/or Cantonese, or Spanish strongly preferred
Our organization follows an in-person work structure where the expectation is to work onsite on a daily basis. The office location is 1668 S Garfield Ave #100, Alhambra, CA 91801. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5–6 hours daily . Shifts will be scheduled between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM . The total compensation target pay range for this role is $22.00 - $23.00 per hour. The salary range represents our national target range for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location (current or future), experience, and other job-related factors.
